I vote this car the most likely newer car that I will purchase used as soon as the price falls off the cliff. I have seen the SLS in SF and I like it but it will never be cheap enough. I think these will fall after seven years or so to an acceptable level. No more warranty, I can put some wicked exhaust on it and hear it loud and clear like my Z.

Yes. It’s freaking awesome. Though I’d prefer the exhaust flaps stay open permanently. Easily the best sounding turbo engine I’ve heard.

SLS values are going down quite fast actually. You can get some for almost half their MSRP. For some reason this car doesn’t really do it for me.. But I could be biased because I’ve been an SLS fan ever since it first came out..

You have think the SLS maintenance will be pretty steep. I really like the SLS, I just don’t think I will ever go for that. I have my Z so I may never do it, I would like a GTR, I might import one. I actually go to Japan at least once a year so I could look. I go back on the 16th this month actually, will be car spotting with my DSLR.

SLS values have been climbing the past few months. Especially 2012 and on coupes. There are a couple super high mile, cigar smoke soaked, and ragged examples going for low-100s but I haven’t seen a decent 2012+ trade hands for less than $130k and prices have stabilized. Especially since they stopped making them mid-2014. There will never be more SLS’s than there are right now. By comparison, Mercedes wants to sell as many GTs in a year as they sold during the entire production run of the SLS. Also, it doesn’t help that most of the GT customers I know had to have their cars flatbedded in the first 50 miles due to the car’s dash lighting up like a Christmas tree and losing, power brakes, steering, etc. and becoming a brick on wheels. And, guys I know that have been to the AMG driving academy at COTA said the GTs were breaking left and right. Warped rotors in just a few hundred miles, going into limp mode on the track, etc. From introduction until retirement from the ADA the SLS was almost bulletproof, with many of their cars going 20k all track miles and never needing a major component replacement.
